Two Types of Essay Topics

Two Types of Essay TopicsAll students will have to have a couple of Viking essay topics this semester. Having some general essay subjects is important, but students must be careful not to seem too eager or too shy when writing about their own religion or cultures. There are two common types of essay topics on Viking times: those that include and those that do not include viking references. The examples of what each type of essay should contain can be found on the student's assignment or research guide. To begin with, many students will want to write about some basic ideas that may not be mentioned in class. These are very good topics for an essay that may not make use of the type of essay that it will have. Not all professors or topics assignments require this. It is important to be prepared before attempting to write the assignment. It is also important that you always spell properly and have your thoughts accurately described. For instance, writing about how Vikings were the first exp lorers of America can be interesting, but if you do not understand why, this cannot be used as an essay topic. If you do not spell properly, remember that your words will be watched. While writing a topic that includes Vikings, always be careful to avoid spelling or grammar mistakes. Making errors is one thing, but making more than one error could cause trouble later on in your career. Also, it can cause embarrassment to those that read your essay. The next type of essay topics on Vikings include those that only involve a few references to the era. Many professors find these essay topics to be easier to write and to explain their meaning to those that they teach. It is also easier to teach if the professors explain the history in a way that makes sense. For example, if the professor explains that the Vikings were the first explorers of America, there is more emphasis on what the Vikings actually did rather than on their history. Of course, the professor could also speak of the Vikings in detail in order to make their history clear. The point is that the professor has to choose which way to go. The student is not forced to understand all of the facts, but the professor is given the freedom to share his or her own views and opinions. In conclusion, the Viking is a great subject for many essays this semester. It will be fun to write about the history of Vikings while helping students understand their culture and religion.
